Resetting a Switch
To reset a switch, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type 4 to select Administration Menu.
2. From the Administration Menu, type 9 to select Reset Switch.
The following prompt is displayed:
Do you want to proceed with the switch reboot?
[Yes/No] ->
3. Type Y to reset the switch or N to cancel this procedure.
The switch reloads its operating system, a task requiring a
minimum of 20 seconds to complete.
Caution
The switch will not forward traffic during the brief period required
to reload its operating software. Some data traffic may be lost.
