Managing the Chassis

To run the diagnostic tests, perform the following procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, select Administration.

The Administration Menu is displayed.

2. Select Diagnostics.

The diagnostic tests take only a few seconds to complete. The results

are displayed in a Diagnostics screen, as shown below.

The Flash PROM, RAM, and Serial Interface test results are displayed as

Good or Failed. If the chassis does not have a optional power supply

installed, the results for “Power module B” and “Fan B” are displayed

as Failed.

3. Return to the Main Menu.

Administration Menu

Update software in another system

Broadcast updated software to all systems

XModem software updated to this system

Connect to a remote system

Ping a remote system

Activity monitor

Diagnostics

Reset and restart the system

Return to Main Menu...
